How to adjust fluid setting on APEX™ system?
The APEX™ controller is a precision fluid dispensing system that uses a positive displacement pump to deliver fluid to the Uni-Roller® S2. To adjust the amount of fluid dispensed to a Uni-Roller® lubricator, follow these steps using the APEX system’s user interface:
Fluid Adjustment Procedure
Navigate to the Job Manager display from the navigation panel.
Select EDIT JOB to edit the current job, or load the job to be edited (this will be the active job) and then make your edits.
Select the roller you want to adjust and enter the desired fluid value.
- Return to the home screen.
- Resume operation.
Fluid settings can be adjusted individually for each Uni-Roller® S2 lubricator. Values are entered in units of mg/ft² or mg/m².
- To dispense more lubricant, increase the setting.
- To dispense less, decrease the setting.
- A setting of 0 will disable fluid output to that specific roller.
Unist recommends allowing 45 to 60 minutes of line run time after making changes before rechecking film weights, as the system will gradually reach a new equilibrium. Be patient during this process, and be mindful that reducing the fluid quantity may take more time for the system to stabilize and show noticeable results.
